No, it’s not Buzz Lightyear’s new catch phrase, it’s Alienation News. With the amount of work we’ve won in 2004, it has been another busy year - and going into the New Year, Alienation will be busier than ever.

Our newest client is the award winning HITSport. HITSport specialise in outsourced sports training and coaching facilities for local authorities and schools - although after Christmas and New Year we may be requesting their expertise ourselves, to lose those bellies. The company has been experiencing tremendous growth, especially over the past few months and the business has expanded to the point were current resources and procedures are no longer adequate for them to take the company forward. It was felt an eBusiness solution was needed, not just for marketing purposes but as a central resource for all of the company’s administration.

We have also started work on some recently won contracts which include The STAC (Scottish Technology and Collaboration) - an SE funded organisation involved in building collaborative opportunities for over 270 companies at present, The Royal Bank of Scotland Centre for Community Arts Research and Practice which was set up to extend and promote the use of drama and performance to social policy and development related work in Europe and finally Purelogique International Ltd who produce a mixture of food supplements, face creams and serums containing collagen. Purelogique are in the middle of a re-branding exercise and require their new web site to reflect the new corporate image as well as encourage more direct sales.

In the middle of all this we have managed to complete and launch two new sites for our existing client Forrest and Macdonald Furnishing. We have also just agreed to undertake the new work for the Scottish Enterprise Energy Scottish Offshore Achievement Awards for whom we developed last years award site.

All that’s left is to warn anybody who will be in the vicinity of the Greek restaurant, Café Sergei on the 16th of December to be wary of low flying plates travelling at high speed. The Alienation Christmas night out is being held there and some people are a little bit too keen to get dinner over with and start following tradition…..
