The Scottish Executive Education Department has commissioned the production of The Motivated School support materials and website. Alienation Digital has been selected to provide the website for the project. The Motivated School was created by Alan McLean, Area Principal Psychologist in Glasgow and gives a theoretical framework to sharpen thinking on learner motivation. With the ultimate aim being to optimise the learning environment, whilst progressing pupils towards greater autonomy and self-motivation. Such has been the impact of the book, The Scottish Executive have decided to fund the roll-out of The Motivated School to all schools and authorities in Scotland, employing regional trainers to train teachers and provide the teaching materials. The website will be used to provide the public and interested teachers with information on the The Motivated School, provide teachers with an online resource to download support materials and share their experiences in using The Motivated School and also provide the regional trainers with an area where a diary of the training schedule and pack ordering facility will be available.
