A toast to the Queen

Continuing our work with long-term client Gordon & MacPhail, Alienation Digital is delighted to announce the launch of a microsite to promote a rare Single Malt Whisky bottled to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

In honour of the Queen’s 60th year as reigning monarch Gordon & MacPhail has released the exclusive Glen Grant 60 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky. With only 85 decanters available Gordon & MacPhail wanted to develop a dedicated web presence to communicate the exclusivity and prestige of the product, whilst reaching an international audience.

Alienation has developed a unique, single page, scrolling microsite, which utilises bold imagery and clean design to emulate the quality and finesse of the Single Malt. The site’s design incorporates clear links to social media to encourage engagement with site content and to generate a buzz around the product’s launch.

The site aims to illustrate the history and provenance of the Single Malt Whisky.  It outlines the story regarding the Queen’s accession to the throne in 1952 and looks in detail at the skill and craftsmanship used to create this unique Single Malt and the majestic packaging.

With a focus on luxury and quality, Gordon & MacPhail has selected only the finest ingredients to make up the finished product. The highest quality First Fill Sherry cask was used for the long-term maturation of this Single Malt, whilst the crystal decanter and diamond shaped stopper were crafted especially by Scottish crystal experts. Each decanter is engraved and features a sophisticated silver collar, and a beautiful Swarovski crystal. Every bottle is then showcased in a handcrafted Elm wood box, lined with sumptuous purple Harris Tweed, and complete with a signed, embossed certificate of authenticity.
