Alienation Goes to the Top of the Class

Alienation Digital is delighted to add another prestigious client to its portfolio, building upon our strength in the educational sector, after winning the competitive tender for Bournemouth University’s new web design.

Bournemouth University has a reputation for excellence, with the 2009 and 2010 ‘The Guardian University Guide’ naming the university as the “UK’s Number One New University”. Its breadth of courses spans everything from business to science, law, music and midwifery.

The University’s website presents crucial information to a wide spectrum of users, from staff to students and businesses, and acts as a key marketing tool to prospective students. However, the current site has become outdated and the design fails to reflect the University’s growing aspirations. In addition, Bournemouth University recognises that in an increasingly competitive sector, universities must utilise their website as a key differentiating and brand positioning tool.

Alienation Digital was selected through a competitive UK-wide tender process for this exciting new web design project. The project looks to update the University’s online presence, consolidating core information and presenting it in a more structured and navigable format. Alienation’s design team will work with Bournemouth University’s existing branding to develop a sleek new education web design that efficiently communicates the vision and prestige of the institute.

With such a vast range of faculties and courses the site must have the capacity to store and present content-heavy pages through simple, clean and intuitive design features. Alienation will integrate the new web design with the university’s existing content management system, TERMINALFOUR, in order to centralise management of the extensive network of pages on the university’s website and ensure staff have the maximum control over their new site.
