Alienation Digital is delighted to be supporting the Rainbow Group, a charity which provides a safe environment for people with learning disabilities in Largs, Scotland.
Alienation will offer support by donating the money the Group needs to continue meeting at its current location in Largs. The Rainbow Group is the only group of its kind in North Ayrshire, providing a safe, social and welcoming environment for its members.
Fundraising is essential for the group, and a staff of volunteers works alongside members to share in fundraising activities. The Rainbow Group also offers advice, support and information to help its members in their daily lives.
The Rainbow Group rents premises from Helter Skelter, a local Largs Group. The money donated by Alienation Digital will be used to pay for the continuing use of the premises, and will allow the group to widen its remit as it grows and applies for charitable status later in 2011.
Anne Johnstone from the Rainbow Group said: "Our members take part in activities such as bingo, arts and crafts and fundraising. All of our members are encouraged to take part in every aspect of the Group including the planning and arranging of days, activities and fundraising. This builds their confidence and
improves social skills."
"On behalf of everyone at the Rainbow Group, I would like to say a sincere thank you to Alienation Digital for your help with our funding."
