We would like to congratulate our clients, Coatbridge, Carnegie and Cardonald College on their success at the prestigious Scotland’s Colleges Marketing Awards 2009.

Coatbridge College’s website, designed by Alienation, achieved the silver award for best website as well as bronze in the innovation category for being the first Scottish college website to attain 'AAA' accredited accessibility. Coatbridge were winners of four awards in total on the night.

Carnegie College achieved tremendous success, winning gold in four categories and the Grand Prix Award for integrated marketing. Alienation provided consultancy and research and were contracted to create a new online presence for the college to coincide with its rebrand from Lauder College to Carnegie College in November 2007.

Two years ago Alienation won a competitive tender to provide Carnegie with web development consultancy. The main focus of the consultancy exercise was to examine the existing online systems and make recommendations for the implementation of new web services. The consultancy also included a summary of competitors and similar websites from the UK & abroad; an evaluation of the key design features found within competitor sites; an assessment of the functionality that existed within similar educational sites; a review of the marketing techniques currently used by similar sites; and a design, functionality and online marketing review of colleges within Scotland, the top 10 US Universities (by research funding) and the top 10 UK Universities (by number of students).

If we can help you by providing similar consultancy for your online projects, please call David Johnstone or Simon Bennison on 0141 33 11 323.
