BriefCondor has been producing bespoke bicycles for over 60 years. Alienation were brought on board after Condor found it was experiencing a high volume of customer price enquiries, due to the absence of this information on the previous website. Further, there was no facility in place to monitor and evaluate site performance, or regularly update the site with new products and ranges. SolutionAlienation created an interface designed to inject the personality of the Condor brand into the online space, adding energy to the site using high impact design to effectively pull the user in. The “build-a-bike” facility provides clients with the opportunity to construct their own made-to-order bike (the tool also generates a price estimate for the customer), with an added personal touch from the organisation’s knowledgeable and passionate employees. Other features of the site include interactive call to action banners, real-time social media updates on the home page, and a savings calculator for customers looking to purchase a cycle through a Cycle to Work Scheme. ResultsThe new website proved a hit with the cycling community right away, enjoying a 40% increase in visitors in the first month since launch and a 35% rise in visitors from search engines. The site attracted 120,000 visitors in its first 6 months and are on target to increase sales by at least £1million in the next year, as a direct result of the website.
