Alienation Digital is delighted to announce the launch of the new ‘Make the Move’ website for ENABLE Scotland.

ENABLE Scotland is a charitable organisation run by its members, who promote better standards of living for people of all ages with learning disabilities. The charity provides services to support people with learning disabilities and their families to enter into employment and take part in their local communities.

The company wished to develop a new website to assist young people with learning disabilities in their transition from school or college into the workplace. This site was to work in collaboration with existing ENABLE Scotland services, offering advice and information that is accessible and presented in an age-appropriate format.

The site’s key feature is an interactive banner that offers users a fun way to navigate the website, whereby they simply visit the relevant building for all the information they require. This ‘town’ concept originated from focus group sessions held by ENABLE and the target audience, and was then developed and implemented by the Alienation team. Graphics and imagery provide an intuitive step-by-step process for visitors, enhancing the user’s experience and encouraging further engagement.

Patric Donnachie, Project Manager at Alienation Digital, emphasizes that “the website is fully tested to double A standards of accessibility to ensure device-independent access and easy navigation throughout.”
