Following a number of high profile contract wins, Alienation Digital has added five new faces to its staff count while continuing with its recruitment drive, all the while maintaining its commitment to remain carbon neutral.
With offices in Glasgow and London the company has attracted employees from a number of agencies from the digital marketing sector, as well as running a successful internship scheme. It takes its staff-count in both offices from 20 to 25. Here’s a round-up of our new recruits: Valerie Paton – Project Manager: What company did you last work for?

Didn't have one / Dan What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind? Probably some area of Medieval History, possibly the Crusades, the fall of the Roman Empire, or the formation of the European nation state - I'll let you pick! What is the worst job you have ever had? Either call-centre cold calling or cleaning a bakery for £2.50 p/h, although at least the bakery was honest work! Cat Leaver – Marketing Executive: ![]() What company did you last work for? The University of Strathclyde, for the Disability Service What was your first industry job? Marketing Assistant at TRS Ribbons What was your nickname at school? All assortments of Cat - KitCat, HappyCat, Cat in the Hat, Catriona and the Waves, ... even Caterpillar to one friend!? What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind? Well Google Adwords of course :) What is the worst job you have ever had? I worked as a kitchen porter for a month when I was 15, but then I was 'promoted' to waitress, so it was at least short-lived. Daniel Houriez – Web Developer:What company did you last work for? Become Interactive What was your first industry job? Freelance Web Developer What was your nickname at school? Danouch What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind? Two and a Half Men, up to season 8 :-) What is the worst job you have ever had? Working in a Dehydrated Onion Flakes factory, the dullest job ever - in an incredibly noisy room, with a constant strong smell, and completely alone. Not for the faint-hearted.
