MacLay Inns |
BriefMaclay Inns’ premises share a mission to provide ‘a quality pub experience for everyone’ and, following a competitive tender process, the team at Alienation Digital was tasked to communicate this ethos online. SolutionBy focusing on accessibility, bold imagery and clear content, a suite of 27 user friendly websites was developed on which visitors can access location specific information ranging from upcoming events to WiFi availability and special offers. Image galleries, including photography by Alienation’s Martin Bryce, showcase the unique design features of each location, from the mural in the conservatory at the Lansdowne Bar and Kitchen, to the iconic Three Judges pub in Glasgow’s west end and the scenic Loch Lomond setting of the Village Inn in Arrochar. Staff at each location will be encouraged to use their website as a new way to engage with customers, and social media will play a large part in this development. Leading the way, the Lansdowne Bar & Kitchen website brings the latest updates from the bar right into the heart of its homepage by integrating a Twitter feed from one of Glasgow’s most influential tweeters, @lansdownespy. Alongside design and development, Alienation provided internet marketing consultancy, consisting of research into targeted keywords for each website, establishing the size of the market for each location and providing web copywriting training so that new content can be effectively managed by the Maclay Inns team. ResultsMaclay Inns increased operating profit by 26%, in the last year, amidst a challenging time for the pub sector.
