Shared & Dedicated Hosting

Sleep easy - your hosting is monitored 24/7

Hosting is provided with all projects we work on. Our dedicated servers sit on one of the fastest, most reliable and robust networks available worldwide. It boasts the lowest latency in the industry along with zero packet loss.

All servers are backed up on a daily basis with firewalls in place and security patches from major vendors regularly applied. Back-up servers, UPS (uninterruptable power supply) & diesel power generator backup are in place. Our servers are monitored 24/7 with support staff automatically contacted by email and sms when any issues arrive. Server uptime is guaranteed at 99.99% and technical support is covered by our Service Level Agreement (copy on request).

For projects where large traffic volumes are expected, we would recommend a dedicated server. Alienation can recommend, set up, install and maintain a stand alone server.

Training

Prior to all our sites being published we arrange for key personnel to be trained in the use and management of the content management system. Training covers the key features of your web site and how to use the CMS to keep your site up to date. Each delegate leaves with a full and detailed User Guide on the operation and management of the site.

This comprehensive training course covers every aspect of running a successful search engine marketing programme. The course includes classroom learning plus practical exercises and is spread over 2 (non-consecutive) days.

Writing for the web

Writing effective copy for your website is critical to its performance. Because your writing for a dual “audience” - to please the search engines as well as your intended target human audience - even employing a professional copywriter will not guarantee success. The course lasts one day and includes a full set of notes.

Domain Names

Alienation are members of Nominet, the UK regulatory body for .uk domain names. Domain names with a number of extensions (.com, .net, .co.uk, etc.) can be registered and managed by Alienation. We have our own DNS servers and are experienced in managing a wide range of records for the majority of our clients.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is the perfect medium to promote your business. We can produce and manage the entire email marketing campaign - from design, to list data, to campaign management and detailed reporting.
