Brief
The Posture and Mobility Group (PMG) are a charitable body who aim to share and advance knowledge regarding the posture and mobility needs of people with disabilities in the UK. The organisation’s website is a central hub of information and resources for the public and practicing professionals alike, thus is critical in attaining the group’s core objectives. Following a review by the PMG executive committee the original website was deemed not fit for purpose and the organisation decided it was vital to invest in this portal in order to better support current operations and future aims. After a competitive tender process PMG selected Alienation Digital to create a new website.
Solution
Alienation Digital worked with PMG’s committee of volunteers from across the UK to create a fresh new website, with unique features such as the invoice manager, which will be used to manage invoicing and be integrated with the existing membership database and new sign-up component online.
In addition, Alienation Digital conducted thorough digital marketing to ensure that the new website is efficient in search engine rankings, the content is highly relevant to the target audience’s queries and needs, and the site performs well across the board. The site has been designed with accessibility in mind, reaching double A standards, in compliance with W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. In combination with this high level of accessibility, the new site’s design offers clean, consistent branding, images and colour themes throughout, to reflect the professionalism of the organisation.
The new website is a key information sharing platform for the organisation, whilst also promoting its cause and encouraging new members to join.
“Thank you so so much for all the work you have done for us at PMG with building our new website. We couldn’t be more pleased. You have delivered on everything you promised and more.
“The reason we decided to go with you to build our new website from the 4 other serious tendering contenders was your communication – you spoke in straight English on a level that was perfect for our limited knowledge, you were easy to discuss ideas with, understood exactly what we need and seemed flexible, professional and grounded – this has continued throughout the whole project with every member of the Alienation Team I have spoken with.
“On top of that you seem to be able to translate exactly our desires and problems to the Alienation Digital technical team who have always come up with a solution. Additionally you have all been extremely accessible whenever we’ve phoned or emailed and have always been willing to help.”
