respectme is Scotland's Anti-Bullying Service. Launched in March 2007, respectme is a Scottish Executive funded service managed by SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health), in partnership with LGBT Youth Scotland.
The work carried out by respectme is driven by a focus on children's rights: it's the right of every child and young person not to be bullied, and respectme want bullying to be seen as a rights issue, not as a normal part of growing up.
respectme is not a helpline; they provide practical advice and guidance on developing and reviewing anti-bullying policies and initiatives and identifying the best ways of putting them into practice.
respectme required a web presence that would help promote the service and also act as the central portal for all information relating to bullying in Scotland. The new website will contain a whole range of interactive features from nominating local respectme champions to podcasts, blogs and games.
Designed by Keywest and developed in partnership with Alienation utilising our content management platform the site will play a key role in helping respectme achieve their ultimate vision of a respecting, just, equal and inclusive Scotland in which all children and young people can live free from bullying and harassment and are encouraged to reach their full potential.
