Surgeons' News is the first of a range of sites Alienation Digital is launching for The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Surgeons News started as an offline magazine with a website that reproduced the articles after the magazine was published. The new website changes this process, with a platform for all articles to be published before the magazine goes to print, making the website a useful online resource for Surgeons' News subscribers, that will constantly be evolving and up-to-date.

The look and feel of the site is reflective of an editorial with a structured grid layout, clear text and simple images. The aim of the website is to work like an offline magazine and the colour of the menu sections reflects the colour scheme of the Surgeons News publication.
The website offers an enhanced experience to readers as they have the ability to comment on articles and start a discussion. The homepage has a Hot Topics feature that pulls through relevant and popular articles so readers can easily see what is new or topical.
