As the A-Team returns in cinemas to fight on the side of good, Alienation Digital is celebrating another year of tremendous growth by yet again offering the entire agency’s services free for a day to a good cause.

In keeping with our commitment to the environment and local community we have selected Woodlands Community Development Trust (WCDT).

WCDT aims to encourage the redevelopment and revitalisation of Woodlands (Glasgow) and neighbouring areas, for the benefit of local residents, businesses and organisations. They also deliver programmes to benefit the work, health learning, safety and quality of life of residents.

The Woodlands Community Garden and Energy Awareness Hub on West Princes Street is a project to transform a derelict gap site into a community garden. It is being delivered by WCDT with funding from the Climate Challenge Fund and aims to help people learn a variety of skills from how to grow food, how to compost, conserve energy in their own homes and generally raise awareness of environmental issues and concerns surrounding climate change.

Alienation will work with WCDT to deliver a new logo, a content managed website, training, some digital marketing work and even getting their hands dirty by heading down to the community gardens to plant flowers and generally help out.

Mark Hesling, WCDT says: “We are delighted to be partnering with Alienation Digital, who we believe will provide a quality website with a high standard of design, function and accessibility and look forward to working with a company that places great emphasis on the environmental and ethical aspects of their business.”

2009/10 was Alienation’s most successful year ever, with a long list of prestigious new clients such as Condor Cycles, Scottoiler, Strathclyde Fire & Rescue, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and Pitlochry Festival Theatre. They also continued their successful relationship with existing clients such as the NHS, Somerston Hotels (Holiday Inn Express) and Warwick University.

Turnover grew by 240% and profit was up 300%. With the move to larger premises in February of this year and the opening of a London office, the company continued to grow by taking on more staff, including support staff and project managers.

Neil Barr, Alienation MD, says: “This year has just been incredible. The team have worked really hard to ensure our continued success in what has been a tough time for some agencies. We are very much committed to using our success to help others out and this year we are very excited to help a local cause that is close to our heart and our green credentials.”
