We are delighted that The Herald, The Scotsman and Business 7 all reported today on Alienation's half year trading successes.

A number of new and high-profile contract wins, further strengthening of our London office, and the addition of five new staff members have been attributed as factors behind six months of strong competitive performance, which set us in good stead to achieve our expectations for the full financial year.

Central to Alienation’s success is a diverse client list, to which it has added several exciting new names including malt specialist Gordon & MacPhail, The University of Bath, and Lambeth Council. In addition, we are thrilled to continue existing relationships for new projects for prestigious dance company Scottish Ballet, The Beatson Institute for Cancer Research and the Scottish improvement body for care and children’s services - the Care Inspectorate.

Alienation Digital managing director Neil Barr said; “We all know it’s a very competitive market just now which makes these figures all the more encouraging.

“It’s very much a team effort at Alienation Digital and it’s the quality of people we have and who we continue to aim to recruit which will be the single biggest factor in supporting our future growth.”

With an ever more international client base Alienation Digital has enjoyed ongoing expansion, bucking the trend of downsizing in the face of the recession and taking its staff count from 20 to 25 in the past six months, with continued recruitment efforts to grow our dynamic team further. The London office has supported this growth and helped attract new business from throughout the UK and into Europe.

In addition, the agency has maintained its commitment to remain carbon neutral, offsetting more than its total carbon emissions for 2011/12 through a tree-planting scheme in Scotland and Kenya.

Meanwhile, Alienation Digital was honoured to pick up the Export Award at the recent Herald Digital Business Awards, for our work with global market leader in motorcycle chain lubrication systems Scottoiler, by helping them to achieve a 2336% increase in online sales to the USA in the 6 months following website launch.
