Brief

VSA is a leading charity working to help build a caring and inclusive community for the people of Aberdeen, Scotland. Inaugurated in 1870, VSA has evolved since then to continue meeting the changing needs of the local community. Alienation Digital was selected to develop the new charity web design, in order to help VSA to continue providing support to thousands of people by making its resources available and accessible online.

Solution

The new website has been built with ease of access and usability in mind. Clean lined styling has been applied with a colour palette selected meticulously to complement the existing VSA brand. The design style evolved from VSA’s print material into an online presence that integrates features such as a bespoke online scrapbook and events calendar, which aim to make the site more interactive and appealing.

Results

The new website is a key tool in attaining new funding for the charity and assisting the planning and delivery of services across Aberdeen. VSA has reported an increase in donations and volunteers to the charity since the website's launch.
