Donning our gladrags last night, some of the team at Alienation Digital attended this year’s prestigious Herald Digital Business Awards and were delighted to pick up the Export Award for their work with global market leader in motorcycle chain lubrication systems Scottoiler. 

The Herald Digital Business Awards, in partnership with Digital Enterprise Glasgow, is now in its third consecutive year, recognizing the success of both large and small businesses in harnessing digital technology and the Internet. These awards intend to reward innovation and excellence in all digital services, from complex multisites, to brochure websites, online games, mobile technology, software, and online marketing.

A champagne reception welcomed a sea of industry professionals into the beautiful and impressive auditorium at Oran Mor. After some chin-wagging and networking guests were treated to a delightful three-course meal followed by the official awards ceremony hosted by journalist and television presenter Catriona Shearer.

Alienation Digital was thrilled to be shortlisted for all three awards entered, including the Consumer Engagement Award, Digital Supplier Award, and Export Award, making Alienation the most nominated digital agency of the night.

The Export Award recognises the application of innovative digital technology in facilitating the expansion and growth into new global export markets. Alienation Digital created a modern, new online platform supported by a comprehensive digital marketing plan to assist Scottoiler’s expansion into the US market. The site has already exceeded expectations increasing online sales to the US by 2,336%, thus resulting in profits well beyond the initial investment.
