Brief

Alienation Digital was selected to create the Young Lambeth site, an online directory of services, activities and events for young people and families in the London Borough of Lambeth. Young Lambeth has been developed in response to the closure of the Directgov Family Information Directory in March 2011, which generated a requirement for local authorities to take responsibility for the maintenance and development of their own search directories.

Solution

In order to enhance its online presence, Alienation Digital applied its design, development and marketing capabilities to remaster the Young Lambeth website and general image, connecting it with its target audiences and creating a more integrated, manageable and accurate directory. The new site provides a functional and user-friendly online experience, with relevant and up-to-date results for individual target groups, which link in with a range of social media.

Results

The site launched to very positive feedback and saw over 20,000 visits in the first 2 months, of which almost 14,000 were unique visitors. The website will continue to provide an invaluable service to the people of Lambeth for the foreseeable future.
